Job Description :
Applications are invited in prescribed form from Indian nationals for filling up the following positions at Short Service Commissioned (SSC)
Name Of Post: Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer in Technical
Age : Between 19 & 1/2 to 25 years (candidates to be born between 02 January 1987 to 01 July 1992;
Qualifications : B.E/ B.Tech. (or equivalent) in Mechanical/ Marine/ Automotive/ Mechtronics/ Industrial & Production/ Metallurgy/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace/ Conrol/ Electrical/ Elecronics/ tele-Communication/ Instrumentation/ Insrumentation and Control/ Electronics and Instrumentation/ Elecronics and Communication/ Power Engineering/ Control System Engineering/ Power Electronics/ Computer Science Engg. from a institution recognised by AICTE with minimum 60% marks.
Physical Standards : Hight and Wieght : Minimum height Male - 157 cms, 152 cms for Female with correlated weight. Eye Sight : The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision, 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.

The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) exercises operational and administrative control of the Indian Navy from Integrated Headquarters of MOD(Navy). He is assisted by the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff (VCNS) and three other Principal Staff Officers, namely the Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (DCNS), the Chief of Personnel (COP) and the Chief of Material (COM).
The Western and the Eastern Naval Command are operational commands and exercise control over operations in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal respectively. The Southern Command is designed as the Training Command.
