Punjab NRHM invites applications for the following Medical posts :
1. Maternal Health Specialist : 01 post
2. Public Health Specialist : 01 post
3. Law Officer : 01 post
4. Obstetrician (Female) for District Hospital : 04 posts
5. Obstetrician (Female) for FRUs (CHCs) : 43 posts
6. Paediatrician for FRUs (CHCs) : 56 posts
7. Female Medical Officer (PHCs) : 97 posts
8. Medical Officer (Female) : 10 posts
9. Medical Officer (Male) : 01 post
Company Profile:
The National Rural Health Mission was launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 12th April 2005 with the objectives of providing effective health care to the entire rural population in the country with special focus on 18 states which have weak public health indicators. The Mission is an articulation of the commitment of the Government to raise public spending on Health from 0.9% of GDP to 2-3% of GDP, over the next 5 years. It aims to undertake architectural correction of the health system to enable it to effectively handle increased allocations as promised under the National Common Minimum Programme.
Institutionalizing District level Management of Health (all districts) Increase utilization of First Referral Units from less than 20% (2002) to more than 75% by 2010 A.D. A proposal for providing funds under National Rural Health Mission for the following programmes have been sent to Govt. of India
The constitution of India envisages the establishment of new social order based on equality, freedom, justice and dignity of the individual. It aims at the elimination of poverty, ignorance and ill-health and directs the State with regard to raising the level of nutrition and the standard of living of the people, securing the health and strength of workers, men and women, and especially ensuring that children are given opportunities to develop in a healthy manner.
Strictly to the tune of constitutional directives and sincerely to the commitment for "Health for All", the main functions of the department may be precisely summed up as curative, preventive and promotive services. Healthy people, having sound physique and mental development provide a firm foundation for the national development. Whatever is spent on the improvement for invigorating human resources for higher productivity in every sphere of socio-economic development.
