Applications are invited from Indian Citizens for recruitment to the following Engineering & Technology faculty positions:
No of Post : 30 Posts
Name of the Post: Assistant Professor
Qualification: Master’s degree with first class or equivalent at B.E. or M.E. in relevant branch of Engineering (Engg.) and Technology (Tech.)
Desirable: a. Teaching, research, industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization. b. Papers published in refereed journals and/or presented at conference.

From the BISHOP'S COLLEGE in the British Raj to Bengal Engineering College in Independent INDIA and then to the status of a Deemed University and finally to a State University has been a long journey. Life goes on like an ever flowing stream,meeting on its way that which occurs.Yet as time advances,we have to adapt ourselves to suit the surroundings.
Established in 24th November 1856 occupying three rooms in Writers' Building to meet the requirement of trained Engg. personel for Public Works Department as Civil Engineering College ,was affiliated to the Calcutta University in May 1857 .

How to Apply: Prescribed application form and Bio-data sheet may be downloaded from the website www.becs.ac.in and to be submitted to the Receiving Section of the University either by person or by post along with a DD of Rs. 300/-(three hundred)[Rs. 100/- for SC/ST candidates] only drawn in favour of “ The Registrar, BESUS” on any Nationalised Bank payable in Kolkata. The application, completed in all respect along with six sets of photocopies of it and
Biodata sheet must reach the Registrar latest by 30.06.2011. Only one set of attested copy of marksheet and testimonials etc. is to be attached with the original.
