Total no. of posts: 475 vacancies
Name of the posts: Artisans.
1. Fitter: 200 vacancies
2. Welder: 130 vacancies
3. Crane Operator Cum Rigger: 110 vacancies
4. Electrician: 20 vacancies
5. Furnace Operator: 10 vacancies
6. Plumber: 05 posts.
Age limit: The upper age limit is 27 years as on 01-05-2011, relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and other category candidates as per rules.
Educational qualification: For the post of Fitter, Matric/SSLC plus National Trade Certificate plus National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of Fitter or Sheet Metal Worker, for the posts of Welder, Electrician and Plumber, Matric/SSLC plus National Trade Certificate and National Apprenticeship Certificate in the respective Trades, for the post of Crane Operator Cum Rigger, Matric/SSLC and National Trade Certificate plus National Apprenticeship Certificate in Mechanic (Moto Vehicle) Trade, for the post of Furnance Operator, Matric/SSLC plus National Trade Certificate plus National Apprenticeship Certificate in Forger and Heat Treater Trade. The candidates should have obtained minimum 60% marks for GEN/OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST candidates for both National Trade Certificate and National Apprenticeship Certificate.
Application fee: Candidates pay the fee in the form of challan for Rs 125 for GEN/OBC candidates, (No fee for SC/ST/PC candidates. Candidates paid the fee in any of the branches of State Bank of India, in to Power Jothi A/C No 30796267034 @ HE, Kailsapuram, Trichy-14 (Code No. 01363) in favour of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Tiruchirappalli.
Selection procedure: The mode of selection is written test and interview basis.
