Educational qualification: Bachelor's degree in Physics or Applied Physics, Electronics Engineering or Communication Engineering , Civil Engineering or in Architectural Planning & Design, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Forensic Science, Textile Engineering or Textile Technology or Fashion Technology or Fashion Designing. Master Degree in Molecular Biology or Bio-Chemistry or Zoology or Botany or Micro Biology or Forensic Science or any other Life Sciences.

Bureau of Police Research & Development – BPR & D has advertised a recruitment notification for the recruitment of various vacancies for Engagement of Retired Government Servants on contract basis.

3. Assistant Director: 12 posts
4. Assistant Director (Legal): 01 post
5. Research Scientific Officer: 05 posts
6. ALIO/Library Officer: 02 posts
7. Assistant (Legal): 01 post
8. Research Assistant: 04 posts
9. Sr. Scientific Assistant: 06 posts
10. Computer Operator: 01 post
11. Sr. Investigator: 01 post
12. Accountant: 01 post

Age limit: The candidates age limit is shall be 65 years as on the last date of receipt of application.

The Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) was set up on 28th August 1970 in furtherance of the objective of the Government of India for the modernisation of police forces. It has evolved as a multifaceted, consultancy organization. At present it has 5 divisions.
Research & Correctional Administration Division: It identifies the needs and problems of police services in the country and initiates research in this field. It also looks after the mordernization requirement of the correctional administration and also facilitates training courses and research for the same.
