Company Profile :
The need of establishing a National Police Band Institute was conceived by Shri. K.P.Singh, the then Director, Intelligence Bureau. The concept found favour with the MHA and starting of a National Institute for training of band personnel of Central and State Police Forces received the formal approval. There is a vision to develop this Institute into a unique National Institute in martial music. This Institute will have the best of infrastructure and modern training facilities for qualitative training of martial musicians of police bands in the country.
In olden times, martial music roused and inspired feelings of courage and valour amongst soldiers of armies in battle. As time went by, the old martial traditions have been reduced to mere ceremonies. The present bands have evolved from the old tradition of martial music. Even though bands are only ceremonial in its function, it plays an important part in instilling a sense of pride and motivating the men of armed forces in accomplishing deeds of excellence, whether it be in operations, field of sports and other functions of regimental life.
Desired Profile :
Application Fee : Application fee will be Rs.100/- (no fee charged from the SC/ST candidates) in the form of Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of COMMANDANT, ——-SIGNAL BN, CRPF, payable at GPO of respective city where Signal Battalion located and application is being sent.
