Job Description:
Total no. of posts: 695 vacancies
Name of the posts:
1. Head Constable (Telecommunication): 609 vacancies
Pay scale: PB-I- Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- per month.
2. Constable (Telecommunication): 86 vacancies
Pay scale: PB-I- Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- per month.
Age limit: The candidate’s age is between 18 to 25 years for the post of Head Constable (Telecommunication), 18 to 23 years for the post of Constable (Telecommunication) as on 10-06-2011, Relaxation as per Govt rules.
Educational qualification: Candidates pass 10+2 pattern with physics, chemistry and mathematics having 45% marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics from a recognized university for the post of Head Constable (Telecommunication), Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent for the post of Constable (Telecommunication).

ITBP was conceived on 24 Oct, 1962. Presently ITBP is deployed on Border Guarding Duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Diphu La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3488 KM of India-China Border and manning Border Outposts on altitudes ranging from 9000’ to 18500’ in the Western, Middle & Eastern Sector of the India-China Border.
ITBP is basically a mountain trained Force and most of the officers & men are professionally trained Mountaineers and Skiers. Being the first responder for natural Disaster in the Himalayas, ITBP has been carrying out numerous rescue and relief operations.

Application fee: Candidates required pay the fee Rs 50/- (No fee for SC/ST/EXM candidates) in the form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS)/IPO/Bank draft in favour of Inspector General, North-West Frontier, ITBP, payable at SBI, AFS Chandigarh Code No. 1495.
