Job Description :

The Orissa Minerals Development Company(OMDC), partial of Bird Group of Companies as well as auxiliary of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, as well as a PSU under the Ministry of Steel(Govt of India), calls for applications from authorised Indian adults belonging to SC, ST as well as OBC categories to fill up a following posts:

1. Deputy General Manager(Mines)(DPE-E-05): 02 Posts
Qualification: Degree in Mining Engineering from a famous University/Institute with 1st Class Mines Manager obligation of competency from DGMS.
Age: 47 years as upon 1st Apr 2011.

2. Deputy General Manager(Finance & Accounts)(DPE-E-05): 02 Posts
Qualification: CA/ICWA. Candidates possessing MBA(Fin) will have preference.
Age: 47 years as upon 1st Apr 2011.

3. Deputy General Manager(Personnel)(DPE-E-05): 01 Post
Qualification: Post connoisseur Degree in HR/IR or MBA with HR specialization from famous University/Institute. Candidates possessing LLB will have preference.

Qualification: Graduate in any fortify with believe of observant as well as drafting. Typing speed of min.40 WPM. Ability to work with MS-Office is must.

Pay Scale: Rs. 6550-20800/-

Company Profile :

The Bird Group of Companies (BGC), under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel, Government of India was part of erstwhile Bird & Company Ltd, which was nationalized by the Government of India by virtue of The Bird & Company Ltd ( Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings and other properties ) Act, 1980 ( Act No. 67 of 1980). Consequent upon such nationalization of the Undertaking, shares held by the said company in twenty one companies specified in Schedule I to the aforesaid Act stood transferred in the name of the President of India. Based on the shareholding pattern, out of the twenty-one companies, the following companies came under the administrative control of the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, and renamed as Bird Group of Companies which has head quarter at Salt Lake in Kolkata, West Bengal.

THE ORISSA MINERALS DEVELOPMENT COMPANY LIMITED (OMDC)

The company was incorporated in the year 1918 with an authorised share capital of Rs.0.60 crore. Its mines are located around Barbil in Keonjhar District of Orissa. This is one of the oldest mining companies in respect of iron ore, and second to NMDC in mining of Iron ore. OMDC has also set up a 30,000 TPA capacity Sponge Iron Plant in 2004. After restructuring its paid up capital remains the same.
