Job Description :
Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has invited on-line applications for the recruitment on the post of Head- Master in secondary school or its equivalent. It is possible that this appointment will be permanent. More information of this recruitment is given below:
Name of Post: Head- Master
No. of vacant post: 2093 (Gen-1049, SC-334, ST-251, BC-439, EBC-20) B/LV-31, LD & CP-31.
Scale of Pay: PB-2, Rs 9,300-34,800/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,800/-
Eligibility Criteria :
a) Age limit (as on 1st July 2011): above 24 yrs and below 35 yrs
b) Educational Qualification: Graduate from recognized university with diploma or degree in education and practical knowledge of Hindi.
c) Required experience: having 05 years of teaching experience in high school / junior higher secondary / higher secondary or 04 years experience of administrative work OR 03 yrs of teaching experience in high school / junior higher secondary or 05 yrs exp. of as senior teacher or higher post.

Rajasthan Public Service Commission has had a glorious past of nearly 50 years. During 1923, the Lee Commission had recommended setting up of a Central Public Service Commission in India, but it did not give much thought to the need of establishing similar commissions in provinces. It was left largely to the discretion of provincial Governments to recruit and exercise control over their Services, as they thought proper.
At the time of formation of Rajasthan, the institution of Public Service Commission existed in only three of the twenty-two covenanting states viz. Jaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner.
The successor administration after the merger of the princely states promulgated an ordinance on 16th August,1949 establishing the Rajasthan Public Service Commission Ajmer. It provided for the abolition of the PSCs or other institution performing duties in the nature of those of a PSC in the constituent states. The ordinance also provided inter-alia, for the composition of the Commission, the staff and the functions of the Commission.
