Qualifications : - Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (A) and (B) above, the candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from NET.The qualifications and other conditions as above are subject to the regulations/norms stipulated by the MHRD/UGC from time to time.

Her Excellency, Shrimati Pratibha Patil appointed Professor Raosaheb K Kale, who has long experience in teaching & made a original contribution in the field of Cancer and Radiation Biology as well as in university administrator, as the first Vice-Chancellor.
