Job Description :
Applications are invited from Indian citizens for filling up 22 vacancies to the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer) Group ‘C’ on temporary basis likely to be permanent in ITB Police Force.
Assistant Sub-Inspector – ASI (Stenographer)
* No. of Post: 22 posts (UR-11, OBC-1, SC-5, ST-5)
* Age Limit: Between 18 to 25 years
* Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 grade pay Rs.2800/-
* Qualification: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or
equivalent.
* i) Dictation- 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute. ii) Transcription- 50 minutes (English) on computer; or 65 minutes (Hindi) on computer., Should have basic knowledge of computer application.
Application Fee : Rs.50/-in form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS)/ IPO/ Bank Draft in favour of “Inspector General (Special) Frontier, ITBP, payable at SBI, R K Puram, New Delhi, Code No -1076.. No fee from SC/ST and Ex-servicemen candidates.

ITBP was conceived on 24 Oct, 1962. Presently ITBP is deployed on Border Guarding Duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Diphu La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3488 KM of India-China Border and manning Border Outposts on altitudes ranging from 9000’ to 18500’ in the Western, Middle & Eastern Sector of the India-China Border.
ITBP is basically a mountain trained Force and most of the officers & men are professionally trained Mountaineers and Skiers. Being the first responder for natural Disaster in the Himalayas, ITBP has been carrying out numerous rescue and relief operations.
