1. Officer on Special Duty- Finance and Accounts
* Pay Scale: As per the norms of SAMEER
* Qualification: Officers retired fron the Central/Stae Govts/ Govt. R and D Organization / Universities/ Autonomus Bodies/ PSUs and who held the post of Chief Finance/ Accounts Officer or equivalent posts at the time of retirement in the scale of pay Rs 12000-375-16500/- (Prerevised) or Revised PB3 wit GP of Rs 7600/- having following qualification and experience may apply:
i) Post graduate in any discipline with 15 yrs experience in Gazatted Post or
ii) Graduate with SAS with 20 yrs of experience in Gazetted Post , out of which 5 yrs experience should be in Group A post

SAMEER was set up as an autonomous R & D laboratory at Mumbai under the then Department of Electronics, Government of India with a broad mandate to undertake R & D work in the areas of Microwave Engineering and Electromagnetic Engineering Technology. It is an offshoot of the special microwave products unit (SMPU) set up in 1977 at the TATA INSTITUTE OF FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH (TIFR), Mumbai. SAMEER, Mumbai was setup in 1984.
Mumbai Centre specializes in the area of Linear Accelerator Technology for Cancer Therapy, Opto-Electronics, Microwave and Radio Frequency Systems and Sub-Systems and Components. It undertakes and executes sponsored projects for various Government agencies, Public Sector Undertakings and Industries.
