Haryana Civil Service (H.C.S) (Judicial Branch) Examination, 2011
Total no. of posts: 108 vacancies
Name of the posts:
1. Civil Judge (Junior Division): 80 vacancies.
2. Anticipated/Unforeseen: 28 vacancies.
Qualification : No person shall be eligible to be appointed a Civil Judge (Junior Division) unless he holds a degree of Bachelor of Laws from a University established by the law and approved/recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Pay Scale : Rs. 27700 – 44770/-
Age Limit : 21-40 years as on 20/07/2011.
Application Form: Candidates purchased application form the office of Haryana Public Service Commission Bays No.1 – 10, Block – B, Sector – 4, Panchkula by the payment of Rs 1000/- for general candidates and Rs 250/- for SC/BC/EXM/PH and Women of Haryana only through Indian Postal Order (IPO)/Bank Draft of a scheduled Bank, payable to Secretary, HPSC, Panchkula, with self addressed envelop duly stamped worth of Rs 50/- for registered post or on cash payment from the counter.

The establishment of this Institution had its origin in the history of Indian nationalism and the persistent demand of the leaders of freedom movement for progressive Indianisation of the Civil Service under British Raj. The Montagu-Chelmsford Report accepted in principle the demand for Indianisation of the higher civil services and accordingly a provision for this was made in the Government of India Act, 1919. The Royal Commission of the Superior Civil Service in India under the Chairmanship of Lord Lee, in its 1924 Report, recommended setting up of Public Service Commission of India. The Public Service Commission of India was set up on 1st October, 1926 under the Chairmanship of Sir Ross Barker.
