Job Description
The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) is seeking qualified candidates for the post of Director (Technical), Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL)
Scale of pay: of the post being Rs.65,000-75,000/-(Revised).
Qualification: The applicant should be graduate in engineering or equivalent preferably in Chemicals/Electrical or Mechanical with good academic record from a recognized university/institution. He should have adequate experience at a senior level in a large organisation of repute. Persons with experience in dealing with technical and Techno-economic functions of petroleum refining/petrochemicals industry will have added advantage.
Age Limit: On the date of occurrence of vacancy
(i) Minimum 40 years.
(ii) Not more than 58 years for internal candidates and not more than 57 years for others. The age of superannuation is 60 years.

The 3 MMTPA Numaligarh Refinery Limited was dedicated to the nation by the erstwhile Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri A. B. Vajpayee on 9th July, 1999. NRL has been able to display creditable performance since commencement of commercial production in October, 2000. With its concern, commitment and contribution to socio-economic development of the state combined with a track record of continuous growth, NRL has been conferred the status of Mini Ratna PSU.
The present authorized capital of the company is Rs. 1000 crores and paid up capital is Rs. 735.63 crores. The shareholding pattern as on 31-03-2006 is given below :
