Designation : Chief Archivist in Grade ‘D’ (Deputy General Manager)
Job Description :
Name of the posts: Chief Archivist in Grade ‘D’ (Deputy General Manager): 01 post
Age limit: The candidate’s age limit is not exceeding 45 years as on 01-06-2011, relaxation as per rules.
Educational qualification: Candidates pass with Post Graduate in modern Indian History with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university or equivalent and Diploma or certificate course in Archival studies or Records Management. Experience is required.
Selection procedure: The selection will be through interview only.

The Reserve Bank of India was established on April 1, 1935 in accordance with the provisions of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.
PREAMBLE:
The Preamble of the Reserve Bank of India describes the basic functions of the Reserve Bank as:
"...to regulate the issue of Bank Notes and keeping of reserves with a view to securing monetary stability in India and generally to operate the currency and credit system of the country to its advantage."
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Monetary Authority:
Formulates, implements and monitors the monetary policy.
Regulator and supervisor of the financial system:
Prescribes broad parameters of banking operations within which the country's banking and financial system functions.
Desired Profile :
Application fee: Demand draft for Rs 100/- (No fee for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in favoring Reserve Bank of India, payable at Mumbai only. Candidates from un banked areas may pay fee by crossed Indian Postal Orders in favour of Reserve Bank of India, payable at GPO, Mumbai.
