1-SFE (Forest Ecology)- First class M.Sc. degree in Forestry /Botany/Environmental Science from a recognized University with specialization in Forest Ecology/Ecology OR First class M.Sc. degree in Natural Science/ Life Sciences/ Environment Management from a recognized University with specialization in Forest Ecology/Ecology Desirable (ii) Ph.D. degree in Forest Ecology/Ecology/Environmental Management/Environmental Economics.
2-SEM (Environment Management)- First class M.Sc. degree in Environment Management/Environment Science/ from a recognized University with specialization in Environmental Economics Desirable : (ii) Ph.D. in Environment Management/ Environmental Science/Environmental Economics.
3-SCT (Chemistry)- First class M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from a recognized University with specialization in Organic Chemistry. Desirable : (ii) Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry.
4-SSTS (Statistics)- First class M.Sc. degree in Statistics/ Applied Statistics from a recognized University with specialization in Experimental Designs/ Sampling Techniques/ Statistical Modeling. OR First class M.Sc. (Agriculture) Statistics/ M.A. Statistics degree from a recognized University. Desirable (ii) Ph.D. degree in Applied Statistics.
5-SIT (Information Technology)- First class B.E./B. Tech. degree in Computer Science from a recognized University. OR First class in Master of Computer Applications or equivalent from a recognized University Desirable : (ii) Ph.D. degree in Computer Science/Computer applications/ Information Technology.

Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), an apex body in the national forestry research system, has been undertaking the holistic development of forestry research through need based planning, promoting, conducting and coordinating research, education and extension covering all aspects of forestry. The Council deals with the solution based forestry research in tune with the emerging issues in the sector, including global concerns such as climate change, conservation of biological diversity, combating desertification and sustainable management and development of resources. Topical research by the Council enhances public confidence in the ability of forest managers and researchers to successfully handle challenges related to natural resource management.
ICFRE has eight Regional Research Institutes and four Research Centres located in different bio-geographical regions of the country to cater the forestry research needs of the nation. The regional research Institutes are located at Dehradun, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Jabalpur, Jorhat, Jodhpur, Shimla and Ranchi and the centres are at Allahabad, Chhindwara, Hyderabad and Aizawl.
Desired Profile:
Application Fee : Candidates are required to pay non-refundable application fee of Rs.200/-(Rupees two hundred only) through bank Demand Draft drawn in favour of the “Drawing & Disbursing Officer (DDO), ICFRE” payable at Dehradun issued by any Nationalized bank. Separate applications should be submitted alongwith Demand Draft of Rs.200/- for each post, if a candidate wishes to apply for more than one posts.
How to apply : Interested candidates should submit their application typed on A-4 size paper as per the prescribed format ,alongwith attested copies of : (i) Certificate of proof of age. (ii) Certificates, Degrees, Marksheets etc. of educational qualification; proof of specialization in required discipline. (iii) Certificate issued by the competent authority in prescribed format in support of claim to belong to SC/ST/OBC/PH, as applicable. In case the certificate is in a local vernacular language, its English translation duly attested by a Gazetted Officer should be submitted. (iv) Certificate in support of claim for age relaxation/fee concession, as applicable. (v) In case the qualifying degree (M.Sc./B.E./B. Tech etc.) carries a Grade Point Average (GPA) system instead of Percentage system, the duly certified conversion system prescribed by the educational institution must be submitted to ascertain requisite qualification of “First Class degree” from it.
