Applications are invited for filling up of the following posts in the Indian Institute of Packaging (an autonomous body under the

Ministry of Commerce & Industry Govt. of India)


1. Professor / Additional Director

No. of Post: 05 Posts

Pay Scale: Pay Band Rs. 37400 – 67000 (P B -4) + Grade Pay Rs.8900/-


2. Associate Professor/ Joint Director

No. of Post: 01 Post

Pay Scale: Pay Band Rs. 37400 – 67000 (P B -4) + Grade Pay Rs.8700/-


3. Deputy Director (Admin. & Accounts)

No. of Post: 01 Post

Pay Scale: Rs 15600-39100 (Pay Band-3) plus Grade Pay of Rs 6600/-

    Age Limit: 50 Years

4. Lecturer / Assistant Director

No. of Post: 01 Post

Pay Scale: Pay Band Rs. 15600 – 39100 (PB -3 ) plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-

Age Limit: 30 Years


5. Technical Assistant

No. of Post: 02 Posts

Pay Scale : Pay Band Rs. 9300-34800 + (PB-2) Grade Pay @ Rs.4200/-

Age Limit: 25 Years


Qualifications / Experience: PhD. Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Science in subject relevant to packaging with good academic record throughout and ten years experience in teaching / industry / research in related subjects; OR Post Graduate degree in Engineering/ Technology/Science in subjects relevant to packaging with good academic record throughout and 15 years experience in teaching/ industry/ research in related subject. Experience will be counted in teaching subjects related to Packaging/ working in packaging or package user industry/ organization dealing in package development, research, standardization etc.


Desirable: Possession of PG Diploma in packaging.
