Vacant Seat: – 328 (There are 168 seats for General category Candidates, 48 seats for SC category candidates, 88 seats for OBC category candidates and 24 seats for ST category candidates).
Qualification: – Candidate must passed the senior secondary examination by a recognized Board and typing speed on computer is 35 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Hindi.
Physical Standards: -
Height for general category Male candidate’s is165 cms and for general category Female candidate’s is155 cms
Chest for general category Male candidates is: – Unexpanded Chest – 77 CMS and Expended Chest is 82 CMS.
Height for ST and Adivasis candidates of all states is: – Male – 162.5 CMS and 154 CMS for Female.
Chest for ST and Adivasis candidates of all states – Unexpanded Chest is 76 CMS and Expended Chest is 81 CMS.
Age: – Minimum 18 years old and Maximum 25 years old on 14th July 2011.
Age Relax able: – There are 5 years age relaxation for SC/ ST category candidate and 3 years for OBC Category candidates.
Salary: – Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- in Pay Band – 1 per month.

ITBP was conceived on 24 Oct, 1962. Presently ITBP is deployed on Border Guarding Duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Diphu La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3488 KM of India-China Border and manning Border Outposts on altitudes ranging from 9000’ to 18500’ in the Western, Middle & Eastern Sector of the India-China Border.
ITBP is basically a mountain trained Force and most of the officers & men are professionally trained Mountaineers and Skiers. Being the first responder for natural Disaster in the Himalayas, ITBP has been carrying out numerous rescue and relief operations.

How to apply: Fill up the application form and enclose all the Qualification Certificate, Date of Birth, Application Fee, Caste Certificate and Two Passport recent size photographs (one is affixed on Application Form and second is affixed on Admit card). All the documents are attested by Gazetted Officer and send it on or before 14th July 2011 on the address.
